Up-market holiday cottage car parking wall

We were commissioned to design and construct a dry stone effect wall in the picturesque village of Hartington for a repeat customer, the requests made were for the wall to be neat, professional and while blending in with the landscape around it. Each stone was thoughtfully placed for natural beauty, while hidden internal mortar provides added strength and durability, combining traditional appearance with modern reliability and long lasting structural performance for peace of mind assured.

This was one of the final parts of a project for our customer as they had converted an old barn into an upmarket holiday cottage, the wall creates a private car parking bay for the visitors. The addition of this private bay enhances the attraction and value of this holiday cottage for potential visitors.

Countryside caravan retreat perimeter wall

We constructed a traditional dry stone wall with a rustic, timeless character, carefully selecting and placing each stone by hand. The new wall is securely tied into the original walls on both sides, ensuring structural continuity, strength, and a seamless, natural appearance that blends perfectly with its surroundings and heritage.

This is the perimeter wall of a caravan site, as you can see the original wall was dangerous and untidy. The new wall gives the caravan site a neat and professional impression, with caravaners specifically asking to park near the wall as they love looking at it.

Limestone emergency retaining wall

Here we built an imposing 11 foot tall carboniferous limestone retaining wall, using massive stones, some weighing in excess of 200kg. It is built to the highest structural standards, with diligently crossed joints and multiple layers of through stones. This was an emergency due to it being on the side of a public footpath and between two dwellings, so we repaired the wall immediately, preventing potential accidents and restoring safety.

G-Wagon crash cleanup

In this case, we carefully repaired a small curved dry stone wall after it was damaged by a G-Wagon collision. Using skilled craftsmanship and attention to detail, we restored the wall’s original form and strength, matching stonework precisely to ensure a high-quality finish that blends seamlessly and remains durable and structurally sound.

Village garden makeover

We were asked to bring new life into a tired, neglected old garden lacking structure and charm. Old, worn features were carefully dismantled and removed. In their place, we designed and built entirely new elements, transforming the space into a neat, cohesive, and highly aesthetic garden with renewed purpose and appeal.
